We’re building Audit Pilot a first of its kind SaaS platform designed to simplify and automate for the entire health care industry and we need you to help lead this transformation.
The Opportunity
This isn’t just another senior dev role. This is a founding-engineer, product-shaping, industry-changing mission.
Location: Melbourne (Hybrid / Remote-friendly within Australian time zones)
You’ll be the tech lead who:
• Spearheads the architecture, build, and scale of a platform that will impact thousands of providers nationwide.
• Turns our Founder’s and AI Engineer’s ideas into real, high-leverage features that instantly improve lives and businesses.
• Leads the charge in creating a secure, scalable, elegant solution that becomes the gold standard for compliance across Australia.
Your Mission
• Own end to end development - architecture, coding, deployment, and scaling.
• Turn complex ideas into strategic technical plans, de-risking early with fast, thin vertical slices.
• Collaborate deeply with our Founder (Product) and AI Engineer to bring features to life quickly, intelligently, and intentionally.
• Set engineering culture and standards that others will follow.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, secure practices, and code quality benchmarks.
• Implement IaC for safe, fast environments.
• Define strong API contracts, observability, and a modular architecture.
• Improve performance and reliability using tracing, metrics, caching, and clear error budgets.
• Mentor mid-level engineers through 6-week build cycles.
• Balance speed with quality , we ship often, but never carelessly.
• Build the technical foundation of a platform designed to last.

Frontend: React, Vite, TailwindCSS, Radix UI, shadcn/ui, Recharts, jsPDF, Zod, Playwright
Backend: NestJS (Fastify), TypeScript, Postgres (RDS), Drizzle ORM, Swagger/OpenAPI, Docker
Infrastructure: AWS (S3, CloudFront, RDS, IAM), JWT Auth (RBAC), CI/CD
What You Bring
• 6–10+ years shipping production-grade SaaS applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node/NestJS, AWS, Docker, CI/CD.
• 3+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Experience building modular, scalable architectures.
• Strong secure data handling (RBAC, JWT), testing, and observability.
• Pragmatic approach, knowing when to ship fast and when to build for longevity.
Bonus
Experience with Recharts, jsPDF, LLM integrations, OWASP, ISO27001, or OpenTelemetry.
