Our client is a well-known organisation within the professional services.


The Role

As the People and Culture Assistant, you will be supporting the team with administrative and coordination duties across the employee lifecycle. You will have prior experience working in a P&C function, supporting with recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and P&C projects. You will have experience using a HRIS and demonstrate good tech skills. This is a contract position, based in South Melbourne (full-time in office). This is a great opportunity for Working Holiday Visa candidates and is expected to go on into the new year.

Duties

As the People and Culture Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Coordinating and booking in interviews with candidates, supporting them throughout the recruitment process and responding to queries when needed.
  • Liaising with hiring managers throughout hiring, scheduling interviews, gathering interview feedback, and providing advice where required.
  • Issuing contracts and offer letters.
  • Conducting necessary onboarding checks, carefully logging the status of such checks and following up with candidates when needed.
  • Recording activity in the HRIS and maintaining employee records.
  • Reviewing policies and procedures, updating when needed.
  • Assisting the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.


Your Profile

  • To be a successful candidate for this role, you will have:
  • Experience working in HR, recruitment or administration.
  • Experience using a HRIS.
  • Excellent time-management and organisation skills.
  • A proactive approach and strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
